| =============================================================================================================================== "The stabilizing of humus in composted soils provides water and nutrient holding values. Humus has a high base-exchange capacity which assures that soil food will be maintained over rather long periods of time,to be used by plants for healthy growth". A quote from "Humus and Root Hairs" by John Wear ================================================================================================== Some Brief History John Wear devised a basic method of root zone enhancement for golf courses, athletic turf, and other high traffic "green areas," using a carefully designed and well-blended combination of well digested plant residues and high quality manure compost. High in plant polyphenolic compounds, the substance energizes soil and improves soil physical conditions. It enhances biological growth and provides reliable chemical balance. Using the premium, high humus compost as source material, Trident also produces a highly aerobic liquid organic fertilizer. Often referred to as "highly aerobic compost tea," or "active aerobic compost tea," the liquid is energetic and stimulating to soil, plant roots, stems, and the leaves of turf grasses, vegetables, and woody plants of a wide variety. One type of Trident's liquid organic amendment, brings energy and healing to damaged trees. Test plots at Southern Illinois University, (Dr. She Kong Chong and Dr. Deesburg), have proven the values of our blend of composted steer manure and a special blend of plant/crop residues. This product and the processes used to make it, continues to demonstrate the value of a true, high humus content, compost concentrate. It is clear to our clients that we have provided exactly what they needed to convert very compacted, clayey soil and hydro-carbon damaged soil which predominated the site of the former strip mine. They transformed the site into a beautiful and popular golf course, where organic methods continue. The acreage had also been a contaminated site, targeted by EPA for SUPERFUND attention. The golf course at the location in Marion, Illinois, was designed by Steve Smyers. Steve was selected Golf Course Architect of the Year, that year. The course is called Kokopelli. At least 150 tons of Trident's RootZone Compost Concentrate were applied to the fairways and greens. Pete Ferguson was the "establishing superintendent" at Kokopelli. He is a great source of information concerning how well the soil building program worked. Pete can tell you about healthy, deep-rooted turf, excellent greens and fairways with disease resistance! SUCCESS CONTINUES!! Biodegradable containers with RootZone Humus; now deployed in marshlands of Coastal Louisiana. More projects to follow, soon. Planning process includes invertebrate, shellfish, & fin-fish replenishment. SEE THE STEP-BY-STEP PLAN ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================================================================================== We are continuing consultation services to composters, municipalities with solid waste issues, citizens who have code enforcement issues, tree ordinance challenges, and developers facing permit challenges. Our consultation fees are reasonable. Results have been positive in every case. A list of clients is available on request. Our consulting rates are considered very reasonable industry wide. Your satisfaction is guaranteed. Whatever you need to grow, wherever you need to grow it, we can help you succeed! |
Link to www.compostconcentrate.com S. A. Waksman had an opinion about the importance of humus. He wrote: " The importance of humus in human economy seldom receives sufficient emphasis. Suffice it to say that it probably represents the most important source of human wealth on this planet." |

Knowing what to do and how to do it: "Sure, my criteria have been at work in this program from the beginning. It has not been my desire to claim active and visible leadership. It is my desire and is always my choice to continue the main goal of cooperating with nature, as we move forward securing contracts to apply highly successful means and methods. We succeed wherever we apply our means, methods, and products. In these projects, we are working to solve serious problems in simple and sustainable patterns that have worked with excellence for many years." jw John Wear, President, Chief Scientist, Trident Environmental Services & Technologies, Inc.
